Overview
When using Magicplan, it’s important to ensure you’re working in the correct workspace. This ensures you have access to the correct templates, custom forms, and that your projects are visible to the right people.
Magicplan has three different workspaces, which you can switch between using the top-left menu in the app.
Understanding the Three Workspaces
1. Personal Space
Intended for individual use only
Limited to two projects
Does not include custom forms
Projects here are not shared with your team
This space should not be used for Existing Homes assessments.
2. Existing Homes (Open Workspace)
A shared, open workspace
Often used as a temporary landing space for projects
Projects here should be moved into your team space before continuing work
3. Your Team Space (Correct Workspace)
Located below the Existing Homes workspace in the workspace list
This is where you should be working
Includes:
Access to custom forms
Shared visibility with only your team
Correct project organisation and permissions
All ongoing assessments should be created and worked on within your Team Space.
How to Move a Project into Your Team Space
If a project has been created in the Existing Homes open workspace, you can easily move it into your private team space.
Steps (Mobile App)
Open the Magicplan app
Navigate to the Existing Homes workspace
Find the project you want to move
Tap and Hold the project
Select Move
Choose your Team from the list
The project will now appear in your Team Space and can be worked on with full access to custom forms and team features.
